Weekly Report April 2, 2022

Happy April 😊

Thanks so much to Trinity’s breakfast team for serving as Burrito Brigade this morning.  Cathy, Tony, Dari, and their team prepared a take-out breakfast for 35 Neighbors.   Note that John was part of the “assemble and wrap” team.  It’s rare to catch him “out from behind the scenes”.  Thanks to each of you on the Trinity team!!!

It was a busy morning being it was the first weekend of the month.  We noticed that we continue to see faces that are new to us.  We welcome new Neighbors yet regret our higher numbers.  This is an interesting record that David Gunderson keeps for us.  Notice that recent months are more stable and steadily growing.

Our Neighbors who visit and our advocate partners all ask if we plan to return to sit-down breakfasts.  That is the hope.  In a changing world, how has each partner adapted to a new world?  How do we serve our total community together?  All input is so valued!!!

THANKS!  THANKS!  THANKS!

On this Saturday, we were gifted with fleece blankets that were donated and created by the youth at St Hilda ST. Patrick Episcopal Church.  Here is the sales pitch 😊

Polar fleece blankets are lightweight and easy to carry, very warm, and quick to dry after a damp night.  Thank you St Hilda St Patrick for your wisdom.

April is a month of blessing.  Our Muslim partners began Ramadan yesterday April 1, our Jewish partners celebrate Passover on April 15, and our Christian partners celebrate the risen Christ on April 17.

We join in prayer

Joan
