Asher served as Public Relations this morning. What a sweet guy! It was a special blessing to have him with us this morning. We had three new families come for help. Asher was a constant companion for the children, giving the adults a chance to ask about resources.
We gave breakfast burritos and bags of groceries to 26 today. This included the three new families. We had to wonder if families, including children, living in cars are going to be an increasing part of our service.
Many thanks to Cathy, Tony and Dari, team leaders of Trinity’s burrito brigade.
Thanks also to Gail from Mercy Watch for being with us today. She had long consultations with some of our Neighbors and was able to guide them to additional care as well as offer advice for improved self-care. She and Mercy Watch are truly impactful.
Next week, weather permitting, we will have tables outside so that our Neighbors can linger over their burritos and coffee. This will give us time to research resources and to build mentor relationships.
