We started the new month with a brand-new puppy! He was a little defensive at first, but eventually caught on that there was a lot of attention available to him. He even warmed up to Angel.
We served 38 Neighbors this morning, plus 3 families. Once again, we met a few new Neighbors and we were reacquainted with a couple of Neighbors whom we had not seen since before the pandemic. It’s always fun to connect with new friends and to catch up with old friends. At the same time, we wish they didn’t need us.
Thanks so much to Cathy, Tony, and Dari, our Trinity burrito brigade for breakfast! As always, they were a hit.
The especially good news of the day was that Mary Lancaster who serves with Heroes’ Café spent the morning with us. Heroes’ Café is a monthly social gathering for our military veterans. Significantly, they are an effective resource for our veterans to learn about and connect to available resources. A copy of their flyer is attached. If you know of a veteran who may need help or who would enjoy the company of fellow veterans, please encourage them to attend Heroes’ Café meetings or directly contact Mary. Her e-mail is mlancaster6688@gmail..com. Her phone is 425-770-6381.
THANK YOU!! Your generous response to our need for clothing, especially men’s jeans and underwear has provided warm and dry garments for many very grateful Neighbors. The need continues. We are grateful for any that you can share.
Welcome to springtime We are blessed with nature’s beauty.
