Weekly Report April 15, 2023

Our food pantry gave bags of food to 56 Neighbors today and to 4 families. Once again, they noticed that they were serving Neighbors who are new and typically passing through Lynnwood. It seemed like a smooth morning, but the increased need for help to serve is stunning.  Praise be to God for the generosity of those who contribute financially to Neighbors in Need and to Edmonds Food Bank for delivering sandwiches, salads, nutrition bars, canned goods, etc. etc. etc.  We could not do this without you.

The burrito team from Holy Rosary Catholic Church was on hand this morning.  They filled our oven with nutritious burritos.  They must have had a premonition that we would serve so many.  We are blessed by your care and generosity.  Thanks to each of you!!

Prayer requests:

Please pray for John and Angel.  As John negotiates a period of clinical depression, Angel hovers over his every move.  Pray for them both as they work together for John’s improved health.

Pray for Kenneth who is trying hard to detox on his own.  Programs have worked but his relapses are personal crushing blows.  He asks for our patience as well as our prayers.

God be with you

Joan
