Weekly Report June 3, 2023

Welcome to June!!

It was the first Saturday of the month.  It should have been slow, right?

We actually lost track of how many neighbors our foodbank served.  Including an “after-hours rush” we gave food, salads, and sandwiches to more than 50 people.  We provided family boxes to four families.  What would we do without Edmonds food bank?  John picks up a large cartload of non-perishables every Monday. Additionally, John and Brian make two deliveries of salads, fresh fruits, and flowers every Saturday morning.  Add to that the two full boxes of hoagy sandwiches plus 15 dozen eggs Tony shares with us.  We are blessed.

Thanks also to Trinity’s breakfast team for preparing burritos.  They continue to be popular.  We actually ran out.

Sincere thanks to the dental van for spending a long day with us!   They served 12 patients.
“Serving” includes cleanings, fillings, extractions, and legitimate referrals to dental care providers who can provide additional care no matter the Neighbor’s financial restrictions.

Enjoy these beautiful summer days!

We wish you peace,

Joan
