It’s likely that every person who volunteered at Neighbors in Need this morning went straight to their homes to take naps. It wasn’t a problem morning but it sure was a high activity morning with at least one third of our guests being first time Neighbors. Special thanks to Neighbors who did the set up work, and Neighbors who stepped in to help in the pantry and in the clothing bank. What a day!
Our pantry served 70 Neighbors, 1 family, and 2 dogs. Thank you to Edmonds Food Bank, Advocates Recovery Services and Trinity’s Community Garden for adding fresh nutrition to the grocery bags.
It was a dental van day! The dental professionals treated 9 patients this morning. The scheduling, confirming, question answering and “patient comforting” are a daily gift to our Neighbors. Thank you, Susan, for many hours of service.
Our clothing bank continues to be an essential part of our morning. We especially need all men’s clothing, especially jeans and shoes. Thank you to Susan and Lindsey for a large cash donation. Peggy will be buying jeans this week.
We wish you rest and ask for your prayers.
