What a day!!! Our Neighbors were gracious and grateful, but they were also tired, discouraged, and feeling hopeless. At least 6 of our volunteer team spent their entire morning having one-on-one listening with Neighbors who needed to be heard……(and that 6 doesn’t include the care they got from the pantry and clothing teams and from Tom, our resource expert). It was a morning of giving grace.
It was the perfect day to have Mercy Watch nurses Gail and Joyce with us to assess & treat wounds, discuss aches and pains, and to do blood pressure checks.
Thank you Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Church for breakfast burritos and also for the individual attention that you gave to Neighbors.
SPECIAL INVITATION: Neighbors in Need will be acknowledged during a portion of the Trinity Lutheran Church and Schools worship service tomorrow. We would love to have you be there to receive the well-deserved praise.
