!10 breakfast burritos were gone in just a flash this morning! Even during the hot weather, burritos, coffee, and time to “sit around the breakfast table” are welcomed by our Neighbors. Thank you to Trinity’s breakfast chefs and our coffee team for preparation and serving.
Our pantry gave grocery bags to 73 Neighbors and one family. As the summer progresses, we are able to add larger amounts of fresh vegetables. We had bags of salad greens from Trinity’s community garden, bags of fresh peas from a Trinity member’s home garden and a bounty of squash, cabbage, turnips, garlic, and cucumbers from Tom, who has grown vegetables for our Neighbors for the past several years. He also brought dahlia’s. So beautiful!!
Save the date!! Northwest Puget Brass Ensemble will perform their annual holiday concert to benefit Neighbors in Need on Sunday, December 8 at 5:00 PM. You will remember that this concert is educational and lots of fun as well as being a beautiful part of our Christmas. Don’t miss it.
Prayer request: Kevin reminds us that he wants us to pray with him for clarity of mind, safety on the streets, blessings on his children and grandchildren, and a financial windfall.
We wish you peace in shelter
