Weekly Report September 7, 2024

The first Saturday of a new month means that the Trinity burrito team prepared breakfast.  We had our usual large crowd this morning!  Every burrito was taken.  Thanks for your early morning cooking! 🙂

And, indeed, it was a large crowd this morning.  We noticed at one time that the chairs at every table were full.  We also noticed at that time that there was at least one NiN volunteer at each table to welcome and to listen.  That’s how our Neighbors know they are loved..

It was Medical Teams International Dental Van day today.  Seven patients were treated.  That’s a lot of health restoration.  Thank you, Susan, for many, many phone calls and text messages to make appointments and to do all of the follow-up record keeping.

Thank you to Advocates Recovery Services for your welcome clothing donation!  The attached photo shows that Peggy put in several hours of sorting in preparation for today’s Neighbor customers.

Anyone want to help?  If you have a couple of hours on a Wednesday or Thursday morning, this a valuable service.

Our clothing bank is especially busy at the change of season.  Our community has been generous, and our Neighbors are grateful.  In addition to Advocates Recovery, St Hilda St Patrick Episcopal,  Holy Rosary Catholic, Gloria Dei Lutheran and St Mary Coptic Orthodox congregations of each sponsored drives.  We are blessed by the help in meeting this continuing need.

We are blessed by your work and your prayers

Joan
