Weekly Report September 21, 2024

Welcome back to the team from Holy Rosary!!  They took.  We a very short summer break.  We missed you!  They always bring a special treat to accompany the burritos.  Thanks so much for the fresh fruit and fruit juice.

And special thanks to Holy Rosary for garden vegetables.  They brough tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, and salad greens.  Our Neighbors are truly grateful.

It was a day of summer abundance.  Gardeners in the Lynnwood community gifted our Neighbors with a full crate of spaghetti squash, another full crate of zucchini, 6 pounds of cucumbers, 15 pounds of tomatoes, and a large bag of rhubarb plus herbs and fresh garlic.  Our pantry tables looked like one long cornucopia.

The pantry was busy yet again.  They packed and distributed 82 bags of groceries and one family box.

Prayer requests:

Pray for Mitch.  He was assaulted Wednesday evening and received life changing injuries.  He asks for our prayers for healing and for help in forgiving.

Pray for Sherie.  She was assaulted by a family member.  Pray for her for both physical and emotional healing.

And offer prayers of thanks:   for a community that shares bounty from their gardens

for a community who shares their clothing

for volunteers who give us their Saturday mornings

for partner service groups who support NiN

Neighbors in Need is blessed.

We Wish You Peace,

Joan
