It seems like the colder the night, the more cocoa mix we need to add to our coffee. Our Neighbors were a content community, but sure did enjoy making their own mochas.
Thank you to Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Congregation for burritos this morning Our Neighbors enjoyed the entire batch.
We are also grateful to EUUC for tuna, cereal, cheese sticks, oranges / enough to serve our Neighbors for an entire month. They are truly grateful.
We welcome a growing partnership with Bella’s Thrift Shop. If you haven’t visited them at their new location, 16733 Highway 99 in Lynnwood (the former Bartell’s Drug Store) Bella’s profits benefit our pets. They deliver a full case to our Neighbors a full case of kibble for dogs and canned food for cats. We can thank Peggy and Sue for help in developing this partnership. They visit Bella’s frequently where the staff generously discounts clothing that our Neighbors need. Thank you also to Janine with Advocates Recovery Services for making the connection with Bella’s for donated pet foods.
Our pantry gave grocery bags and toiletries to 74 Neighbors this morning and prepared a box for one family. Imagine distributing 250 sandwiches! Thank you, Advocates Recovery Services, for donating them. These hoagie sandwiches are delicious. Thank you for this high end gift.
HELP WANTED! ! Santa Needs Suggestions!
We will want to prepare gift bags to our Neighbors during the Christmas season. Please help us. What do you suggest that they would welcome? Want to join us in the project?
Mercy Watch picked a significant day to be with us. There were wounds to bandage, and discomforts to discuss. Our Neighbors so comfortably trust Mercy Watch. We are grateful to Gail and Joyce. Both are patient and really, really trusted.
Learn from our Neighbors. Add hot chocolate to your coffee and go out into the sunshine to enjoy it. Only one more day of this beauty.
Shalom
