Weekly Report September 6, 2025

It was a morning of hard work.  Our crowd was large.  All were pleasant guests, but many just needed caring attention.

Our Pemco Insurance breakfast team served the ideal breakfast for Neighbors who were feeling needy.  They served scrambled eggs, sausage links, hash browns and oatmeal with brown sugar and raisins.  Oatmeal is always especially welcome.  Total plate count for this welcomed breakfast was 150.

Our pantry served 84 Neighbors and 4 families.  They and we are grateful to Edmonds Food Bank for 500+ pounds of non-perishable foods each week.  This count doesn’t include fresh fruits, salads and sandwiches that John and Brian deliver every Saturday morning.

Out clothing bank is transitioning into cooler weather garments.  They can offer a generous selection except for men’s pants.  They had only one pair of jeans available this morning.  Please check your closets for extras.

Advocates Recovery Services medical team were busy consultants.  They didn’t see a single wound but had a line-up for blood pressure checks.  Maybe our Neighbors welcome caring consultations?

“The only thing better than a second chance is not needing one”

May our love for our Neighbors convince them that they deserve a second chance.

In hope

Joan
