We worked hard this morning!! Our Neighbors were cold, hungry and tense.
Hot biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, milk and fruit juice were as soothing as they were nutritious. Again, more than 200 plates. We’re grateful to Holy Rosary Catholic Church for hot food and warm smiles. You made a big difference this morning.
The pantry is an especially big deal for our Neighbors as they worry about access to benefits. They gave 84 grocery bags plus some family boxes. What would we and Neighbors do without the generosity of Edmonds Food Bank and Advocates Recovery Services?
It was a day for health! The dental van and Susan served 8 patients. Christine was taking blood pressure and caring for wounds all morning long. Angela, our friend who is a professional foot care specialist and her son, Malachi, cared for at least 10 this morning.
The clothing bank did a big business in dry clothing this morning. We received some truly generous gifts of underwear and socks. The clothing team gave out every piece.
Prayers:
Please pray for Jackie. We had to call 911 for her this morning. She was very ill and consumed with fright.
Pray for a first time Neighbor. He is the single parent to two pre-teen children, When offered a family food box, he declined. They live in a car and have no way of cooking. We all fell in love with the children. They were just delightful conversationalists.
Kevin asks us to continue to pray with him for clarity of mind,, and for health and safety for his children and grandchildren. He reports that because we pray with him, he has improved housing and stability in his life.
Special cheers for AJ!!! She successfully used the “Zamboni” vacuum to vacuum the multi-purpose room floor. That thing is bigger than she is!
We give thanks for your work and prayers.
