It was kind of a tough day today. We had several first-time guests who must rarely experience a kind welcome. They were cautious and defensive. Our regular Neighbors gave them space. Our volunteers were patient, even when that patience was tested. Abundant kindness warms hearts.
Thank you to our team from St Philopater & St. Demiana Coptic Orthodox Church for preparing and serving A LOT of burritos this morning. We are grateful for your early morning service and for your company.
The busy pantry handed out 90 grocery bags this morning. Where would they be without the generosity of Edmonds Food Bank, Franz Bakery and Cottage Bakery, and Salt of the Earth Food Blessings / Advocates Recovery Services?
As always, our clothing area needs clothing for men. Jeans or khakis in waist sizes 28 through 34 and underwear (especially boxer style) are most commonly requested.
Thank you to Advocates Recovery Services medical team for your care for our Neighbors – especially your patient listening. Their trust in your confidential care is a big deal.
We end each Saturday morning by agreeing that “it was another miracle” and it truly is.
