Weekly report April 9, 2022

Angel was pouting this morning…  She and her owner arrived early.  We could give her owner a cup of hot coffee while they waited.  Jude found a treat for Angel, but she wouldn’t even look up for an ear scratch.

Actually, the whole crowd was grouchy this morning!  With snow showers predicted and sleet currently falling, our Neighbors are entitled to a meltdown.  Days like this remind us that our volunteers and donors love universally and without judgment.

Our team handed out bags to 29 Neighbors this morning, including 2 families.  Our early month counts tell us that we will be seeing an increasing need for help.

Prayer requests:

Traci asks us to continue with “whatever prayers” we say on her behalf.  Medical appointments are opening up for her way earlier than her primary is predicting.  She is certain that our prayer support is helping with that.  Please continue to pray with her.  The risk that her injuries will risk her several years of sobriety is very real.

Kevin asks for our continued prayers for his clarity of mind and for a financial windfall.  Tuesday, April 12 is his birthday.  He will turn 67 and asks us to pray that this will be the turn to a new chapter in his life.

We wish you comfort,

Joan
