Weekly Report June 17, 2023

We had an early crowd this morning.  Everyone was eager to be inside with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate.

Many thanks to the team from Holy Rosary Catholic Church for preparing burritos.  They went quickly.

Our pantry team gave out 51 bags of groceries and 2 family boxes.  They estimated an additional 10 Neighbors who came just for burritos a hot beverage and good company.

You should know…  We had a drive through visit from a Lynnwood Police officer this morning.  His comment to us was, “You do so much good outreach here”.  That support feels really good, doesn’t it?

Do you know of someone?   We have Neighbors asking if Lola will ever come back to give haircuts.  She is currently full time care giver for her mother.  She would love to be with us, but, of course, she can’t.  Do you know of anyone who might be willing to come maybe once a month?

NEEDED!!   Our clothing team needs men’s jeans.  They have none.  Sizes 32, 34 and 36 are most asked for.

They also need men’s underwear.

Prayer requests:  Please pray for Eric’s Uncle Bill.  He is recovering from an apparent stroke.  Let’s pray that extensive tests will help his medical team determine best treatments.

Kevin asks for prayers for a good week ahead with positive breakthroughs.  Also, please pray with him for clarity of mind, safety on the streets, complete repair of his van, a financial windfall, safety for his family, and a clear path back to college at Edmonds College.

Please pray with Michael that he can find an affordable car.  His commutes from Lynnwood to night security work on Capital Hill.

To all fathers and to all who provide a father’s care and wisdom, we send you our love and admiration.

Joan
