Weekly report October 28, 2023

What a perfect morning for a hot breakfast.  The team from Gloria Dei Lutheran served 102 plates of sausages, biscuits and gravy, and fruit juice.  In addition, they served more than 100 hot burritos.  Our very cold Neighbors were so grateful.

Thanks so much to Tony and Advocates Recovery Services for bring us boxes of submarine sandwiches.  Our Neighbors were able to take a special lunch.

Our pantry gave 75 bags of groceries and 2 family boxes.  Our numbers continue to grow.

A very special thank you to Lynnwood Kiwanis!  They visited this morning to give us a very generous and very welcome donation.

NEEDED!!   NEEDED!!   NEEDED!!  NEEDED!!

Our clothing department desperately needs winter clothing and shoes for both men and women.  Do you have anything that you can spare?

The frosty morning reminds us that it is time for the holidays.

Is your congregation or organization planning a giving tree?  If so, please consider benefitting Neighbors in Need.  Our Neighbors would love such gifts as socks, underwear, hand warmers, and/or toiletries.

The holidays also mean music!  We have 2 concerts that will benefit Neighbors in Need.

December 9, 7:00 PM   Puget Sound Brass Ensemble will perform holiday arrangements and teach us about the vast variety of brass musical instruments.  This is truly a fun evening.

December 10, 4:00 PM  Kwan Family Recital  This a glamorous evening.  The program is performed by a large group of musicians and vocalists.  Plan on a beautiful afternoon.

May you have adorable trick-or-treaters to visit on Halloween.

We wish you peace,

Joan
