Our Neighbors were the guests of Korean Nest Mission this morning.
Word at the breakfast tables was that the pancakes were especially delicious. Thank you to Korean Nest for those pancakes plus sausage, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, and fruit juice.
Thank you, also for your company! It was truly fun to have you with us. Please visit again soon.
Fashionista Emergency!! Can you help?
Peggy sorts clothing every Wednesday morning. Do you have a couple of hours on Wednesday mornings, between 10 and about noon, to help her sort clothing donations? It’s physically light work, mostly about organizing. Please let us know or call if you have any questions. Or just show up! She will be grateful for your help.
Our pantry served 76 Neighbors this morning plus 2 families. That’s a lot of grocery bags to fill and so very many hoagie sandwiches, salad, bread, and/or soup options to offer. Thank you for your welcoming customer service.
Special to our volunteer family:
We are a “show up every Saturday”, “physically and emotionally support each other”, and “all are welcome” bunch. On this particular Saturday, 96% of our Neighbors came to receive our welcoming respect. Maybe they didn’t mention it (they’re used to it), but they cleaned their breakfast plates, and they were comfortable to ask for help.
It was that remaining 4% that showed us who we really are. No matter how entitled they behaved or how resentfully they spoke, we gave unconditional love.
What a privilege to be part of such a team
For NiN leadership
