Our Neighbors were guests for brunch on Saturday morning and they certainly enjoyed it. Thank you to the team from Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Of course, they prepared the required burritos. They added sausage links and VERY WELCOME macaroni and cheese. Thanks so much for your creative menu and welcoming serving to our Neighbors. It was a special day.
Our pantry served 78 Neighbors, 3 family boxes, and 3 dogs. One of our canine guests wasn’t quite ready to eat her milk bone treat. She carried it outside to bury it in the flower bed. Jude found and recovered the milk bone. No treats for rodents
It was dental van day. The team from Medical Teams International cared for 8 patients. Treatment time for each patient averages 1 ½ hours. That’s a combined total of 12 hours of care on a Saturday morning. Special thanks to Judy and to Jeff for hosting the dental team and their patients.
We were short a few of our regular volunteers. At the same time, we were gifted by some new volunteers who “Just stopped by”. They were truly helpful and our Neighbors enjoyed meeting new faces. ALL ARE WELCOME. Come once a month or once a year. It’s a truly enjoyable as well as meaningful morning.
Kevin stopped by to remind us that he values our prayers. He asks us to pray that he can activate his debit card quickly and pay his rent on time. Also, please pray for his clarity of mind, safety for his children and grandchildren, and for a financial windfall.
On behalf of our Neighbors, thank you to all. Your time on Saturdays and during the week, your donations, and your supportive wishes and prayers are greatly appreciated.
Gratefully
Joan
