Weekly Report March 28, 2026

It was a morning for large numbers.  The pantry gave 98 grocery bags and 3 family boxes.  Volunteers from Pemco Insurance served 170 breakfasts.

Thank you to the Pemco team for burritos, oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar, and a variety of pastries, plus milk and fruit juice.  There was tension this morning.  Pemco just kept smiling and giving during a serious test of everyone’s patience.  Thanks for your love for everyone in the room.

Keep our clothing bank in mind as you do your spring cleaning.  As always, we are looking for men’s boxer shorts and men’s jeans.  A special need right now is shoes, all sizes for both men and women.

We all know that the Lynnwood Hygiene Center is beginning a significant upgrade.  They will have increased showers capacity plus some new services.  Volunteer teams serve lunch there 6 days a week.   The “LHC” supplies most of our toiletries.  Their recent news letter is attached.

What a team we are!  Advocates Recovery Services offered professional medical care, Franz Bakery  offers a variety of breads, ARS brings coffee, cookies and sandwiches, Edmonds Food Bank provides many crates of canned foods, fresh fruits and salads,  several church and community groups take turns preparing hot breakfasts, Bella’s Thrift Shop donates and delivers pet foods, and members of the community regularly donate clothing  Together, we do a lot of good.

Yeah Everyone!!  🙂
