Our team from Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Congregation cooked, assembled and served 182 burritos this morning! Our Neighbors sure appreciated the generosity.
Once again, we had several new faces, and they were asking for resources. Let’s pray that they will be back next week to let us know that our recommendations were helpful.
Mercy Watch had a busy morning caring for 12 patients. This morning’s care included removing stitches from a healed wound. Gail was patient with a lot of advice from her audience. 
Joe brought good news to us that he moved into an apartment two weeks ago. He has been homeless (couch surfing and/or camping) for 22 years. After a lot of health recovery and follow up with resources, he now has an apartment. Truly interesting to hear him describe his process to adjust to being indoors. This is another deliberate part of recovery. So far Joe has an easy chair, a couple of bath towels, and toiletries. If anyone is downsizing and can spare kitchen necessities, bedroom furnishings or cleaning supplies, he would be grateful for the gift.
The pantry served 72 Neighbors this morning. Our long time Neighbors are always grateful. Our first time Neighbors are pleasantly surprised by the abundance and the warm welcome at the pantry.
