Saturday Morning Weekly Report

We had a lot of fun with the word “voluntold” this morning.  Our faithful volunteers showed up and were “voluntold” which new-to-them task was the day’s assignment. Thank you to Chris for taking leadership in the kitchen!  She led an impromptu team who made about 150 burritos.  We have several new graduates of our burrito rolling

It was a subdued atmosphere at NiN this morning.  Neighbors came in later, enjoyed breakfast, then quickly went back out to the sunshine. Our team from Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Congregation cooked, assembled and served 182 burritos this morning!   Our Neighbors sure appreciated the generosity. If no one reports, did Neighbors in Need actually happen?  We did and we had a great day.  Many neighbors attended.  Many volunteers served generously.  Breakfast was delicious. Our Neighbors were good sports this morning as they came inside out of the falling snow.  Every one of them joked about mid-March winter as they bee-lined for hot beverages. Maybe it was only the hardiest who came………  Our pantry gave out 64 grocery bags.  That’s a 30 bag reduction! Thank you to the team
