Saturday Morning Weekly Report

We seem to say it every week, but once again, we noticed that there were several guest Neighbors who were new to us.  The word on the street seems to be effective and, for sure, all are welcome.  Our Neighbors are gracious guests.  The new folks introduced themselves, there was pleasant conversation at all of

It was an early full house this morning.  We were grateful to be available on a rainy “summer” morning.  One Neighbor shared with us the challenges of keeping even tightly packaged foods in your home when your home is a tent in the woods or behind a business.  Rodents are not shy.  With that description

It seemed like a quiet day this morning.  The clothing bank was busy on a very chilly morning.  Other than that, our Neighbors seemed happy to drink hot coffee or hot chocolate while they listened to Bill’s music.  He sure adds ambiance to each morning that he is with us.  Bonus treat was a selection

Sincere thanks to members of St Philopateer St Demiana Coptic Orthodox Church for being our cooks this morning!  Also, for helping out in several additional places during the morning.  Youth and adults alike are willing and generous servants. It was a quieter morningk; our pantry gave 71 bags rather than the recent 90 + that

The word must have gotten out that there would be a “full meal deal” breakfast today.  Our team from Northwest Church served scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes with “all you can pour” syrup, and fruit juice as well as breakfast burritos.  They served well over 150 plates. Thank you to each of you for a lot

Gloria Dei Lutheran Church was with us to prepare a truly wholesome breakfast.  Our Neighbors enjoyed

It was a party!   We had our average-sized crowd.  Bill played jazzy, fun, sing-along music.  All were at their best. Patty had treated herself to a new wig!  She was all rainbows.  We remember when she was so addicted that she would sleep through the entire Saturday morning.  She has been healthy for the last

We updated our protocol this morning.  With a large crowd and many new faces, Jeff thought to explain our serving process before he asked God to bless our day.  Thank you, Jeff, for the gracious comfort for many new Neighbors. Our team from Gloria Dei Lutheran served 147 breakfasts this morning.  They are a large

It was an especially good day for our clothing bank.   We are grateful to our neighbors at Fairwinds Brighton Court for sending 7 very full bags of beautiful clothing.  As the weather warms, our Neighbors will have fashion. Thank you, also to Amy Squire and her St Hilda St Patrick Episcopal Church for a full
