We had for-real breakfast this morning!!   Thank you to a large team of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church members who prepared and stayed to serve biscuits and gravy in addition to burritos.  Our Neighbors were served breakfast on honest-to-goodness plates and apple juice in real glassware.  It was like the “good ole” pre-pandemic days.  Thank you

“Thanks for all your help and hard work”.  One of our Neighbors wrote this note and handed it to Jude this morning.  It’s really special that he took the care to leave a written greeting.  We were all uplifted! It was a very busy day!!  Our pantry handed out 40 food bags and 2 family

It was an honor to host Point In Time Count volunteers this morning.  They gave their Saturday morning to introduce themselves to our Neighbors and add to their total count.  The number of homeless counted and details about their needs dictate funding for shelter and services.  This volunteer work is a  definite step toward resolving

There was a hint of a sunrise as we arrived at Trinity this morning.  Even a few minutes of longer daylight are welcome and offer promise. We had a “sizable” crowd for our first Saturday of the month and the year.  Jude, John and their team gave grocery bags to 30 Neighbors and to 3 families.   How is our giving to Neighbors different from giving to families?  We volunteers bag ready-to-eat foods for our Neighbors.  This includes  cereals, “self-heating dinners”, individual

It was a privilege to end the year in service and companionship with each other and with our Neighbors. We were able to give groceries, salads, and sandwiches to 30 Neighbors and one family.  Just as important….. we provided space for our Neighbors to be at tables together to visit over coffee or hot chocolate. 

Can you help?  As you well know, our next Neighbors in Need Saturday is Christmas Eve.  We need extra help.  We have Christmas gift bags to fill and distribute, help with setting up and/or breaking down, food distribution, and very importantly, listening to our Neighbors on this sentimental day.  We would love your company for the entire
