It was a morning of hard work.  Our crowd was large.  All were pleasant guests, but many just needed caring attention. Our hungry Neighbors enjoyed scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes and juice, plus burritos.  They served well over 200 plates. We could call it an “average” fourth Saturday of the month.  We know that we will have a large guest count will including several new faces.  Each “average” becomes memorable as we listen to fears or anger, and often to good news.  Each guest is welcomed and their feelings affirmed. And on that clowning around note, thanks so much to Advocates Recovery Services for the beautifully presented burritos and full breakfast.  Our Neighbors enjoyed hash browns, scrambled eggs with potatoes and ham and gravy plus fruit juice and milk. We appreciate the freshly cooked nutrition that our breakfast crews provide. 

We harassed one of our Neighbors this morning because we don’t see him every Saturday.  His explanation was, “I only come when I need food.  Sometimes I have food. Other people need it. I am blessed.”  He reminded us why Saturday mornings are so important to us. Thank you to Team Pemco!!  They served 160 breakfasts this
