It seemed to be kind of a fast day today.  Neighbors came in, got coffee, visited the pantry, grabbed a burrito and were gone.  Very few stayed to chat. Our pantry served 93 Neighbors ( a 20 count increase over last week) and one family box.  And, of course, they  served beloved pets.  They gave

Please take a look at the attachment.  Jude brought in a Christmas poem that defines our Saturday mornings.  If Jesus visited, there is no doubt that he would happily stay for a burrito. NiN mornings start at 6:30 AM sharp!  A self appointed committee of Neighbors are on hand to set up all of the

Our pantry uses green, environmentally friendly plastic bags to assemble foods for our Neighbors.  When it’s cold and pouring rain, this is what some need to do to be dry.  This photo shows him on his way to our clothing bank to look for “no-leak” shoes. We are blessed to have a clothing bank and

Asking for grace if this report makes absolutely no sense.  The morning was super crowded and busy but in a richly rewarding way.  Every single volunteer (actually as they always are) was the true spirit of Christmas. Welcome to members of Archangels Coptic Orthodox Church and thank you for breakfast.  We sure enjoyed your company.  Every single burrito was scarfed up.  Please come again soon. And once they finished preparing breakfast, the entire team moved over to clothing to help sort donations.  The sorting was a huge task this morning!  The photo

What a way to start the day.  John caught this view as he arrived early this morning. Our friends from St Philopateer St Demiana Coptic Orthodox congregation fed the largest crowd we have had in years.  (We had to set up extra chairs!) Thank you for warm and plentiful breakfast for everyone.  A true pleasure

Saturday mornings get busier and busier.  Today followed that trend.  Our pantry gave 92 food bags, including Trader Joe’s salads and fruit, and hoagie sandwiches supplied by Advocates Recovery Services.  Edmonds Food Bank has recently been bringing us (along with a truck load of other nutrition) fresh Cottage Bakery breads.  What a High-end treat for

We worked hard this morning!!  Our Neighbors were cold, hungry and tense. Hot biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, milk and fruit juice were as soothing as they were nutritious.  Again, more than 200 plates.  We’re grateful to Holy Rosary Catholic Church for hot food and warm smiles.  You made a big difference this morning.
