“Love like Jesus loves”.  That was the thought that one of our Neighbors wrote on our whiteboard this morning. Many, many thanks to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church for cooking breakfast this morning.  They brought a large crew to prepare burritos as well as sausage patties, biscuits, and gravy, milk, and fruit juice.  They served breakfast

The Holy Rosary Catholic Church breakfast team earned extra points this morning.  It was hot in that kitchen!!  Many thanks to each of you for your good humor and excellent cooking.  It is always so fun to have you with us. Our Neighbors were all up at the crack of dawn and eager for coffee. 

Just have to share a picture of the Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Congregation breakfast team.  After arriving by 7:30 AM to prepare breakfast burritos, they deep clean the kitchen and then head out to see how else they can help.  This is typical of our burrito brigades.  They serve with purpose and great joy. Our food pantry gave bags of food to 56 Neighbors today and to 4 families. Once again, they noticed that they were serving Neighbors who are new and typically passing through Lynnwood. It seemed like a smooth morning, but the increased need for help to serve is stunning.  Praise be to God for the generosity

Where was everyone??  Actually, we served 35 Neighbors this morning but it seemed quiet and slow-paced.  Jude noticed that there were 6 Neighbors who were totally new to her.  We also had 3 Neighbors return from pre-covid days.  Time in a shelter is running out and there is still inadequate available housing.
